IDENTIFIKASI MOTIVASI INTRINSIK DAN EKSTRINSIK SISWA DAN HUBUNGANNYA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATA PELAJARAN BIOLOGI

Motivasi siswa menjadi salah satu faktor peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Namun demikian, hasil pengamatan di kelas menunjukkan motivasi siswa pada mata pelajaran Biologi masih kurang. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi motivasi intrinsik-ekstrinsik siswa dan hubungan motivasi terhadap hasil belajar. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif untuk mengeksplorasi motivasi siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas XII MIPA-4 MAN 14 Kampus B Jakarta semester genap tahun pelajaran 2022-2023. Motivasi diidentifikasi dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang berisi 12 pertanyaan. Peserta penelitian ini berjumlah 28 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: :1) siswa memiliki kecenderungan bermotivasi intrinsik yang diukur dari aspek tantangan, keingintahuan, penguasaan, penilaian, dan kriteria Internal. Rata-rata kelima aspek tersebut di atas 2,5. 2) Siswa dengan skor di atas 2,5 atau siswa yang memiliki kecenderungan motivasi intrinsik berkorelasi lebih tinggi pada hasil belajar mata pelajaran biologi dibanding siswa-siswa yang memiliki kecenderungan motivasi ekstrinsik. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah dengan memahami kecenderungan motivasi masing-masing siswa, guru dapat mengarahkan siswa secara berbeda yang membantu pencapaian hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan karakteristik motivasi tersebut.
